Korea Stamp Corporation, a sole postal security issuing establishment in the DPRK, has been dealing with design, issue, collection, research and distribution of stamps, postal securities, philately-related printed matters and media, and 3D photos.

The corporation has been issuing different kinds of postal securities and publishing philately-related printed matters by relying on a team of talented designers and editors and a printing house equipped with modern equipment, thus actively contributing to postal communication service and philatelic activities.

It has also been doing well cooperation with different countries in the field of stamp design and issue including the issue of joint stamps.

Korea Stamp Museum

Korea Stamp Museum, which was inaugurated on April 15, 2012 on the occasion of centenary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung , had been splendidly renovated on February 16, 2019 on the occasion of the 77th birth anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il .

The museum preserves the stamp albums used by Chairman Kim Jong Il during his middle school days.

It puts on display over 6 000 values of Korean stamps and postal stationery including “Samson Rocks” and “Rose of Sharon”, the first postage stamps issued on March 12, 1946, related postal remains and historical documents. It also sells the stamps, postal stationery and souvenirs. The visitors can have a detailed briefing about the history of Korean postal development and some episodes.
